Charge: Resisting Arrest & Criminal Trespass

Summary: Client was a patron at a local Sam's Club. He was asked to leave when he tried to pay for his purchases because they could not verify his bank information. He demanded to speak to a manager as he is a longtime patron of Sam's. Stafford Police Office grabbed him from behind and a struggle ensued between the officer and our client. Our client was charged with BOTH criminal trespass and resisting arrest. Everything was caught on video and photos were taken. Numerous eyewitnesses witnessed the entire incident.
Case Result: Both cases DISMISSED.

State of Texas v. J.P.

Summary: Client is on video in a department store taking items and leaving the store without paying for the items.
Case Result: DISMISSED

State of Texas v. E.O.

Charge: Fictitious Registration
County: Fort Bend
Summary: Client pulled over for having a fictitious registration sticker on his vehicle.
Case Result: DISMISSED

State of Texas v. L.K.

Charge: Felony Theft > $20,000.00 < $100,000.00

Summary: Client was arrested for allegedly stealing over $50,000.00 worth of restaurant equipment from a restaurant. Client was arrested with the allegedly stolen items in the back of a U-Haul Truck that was in Client's name.
Case Result: DISMISSED.

State of Texas v. H.S.

Charge: Failure to Stop and Give Information
County: Fort Bend
Summary: Client allegedly struck another automobile and fled the scene without giving his information to them. A trail of power steering fluid led police from the scene of the accident to my client's house where he was outside his car standing. Client was arrested after admitting he was driving the vehicle. Client had two previous convictions for this same offense.
Case Result: DISMISSED on the day of trial.

State of Texas v. E.D.

Charge: Burglary of a Habitation
County: Nueces
Summary: Client was on Federal Supervised release when he was arrested for allegedly breaking into a dorm room on a college campus. Client was accused of stealing a purse which was located in his backpack once he was arrested. Client was twice convicted of felony offenses before this, so he was a true habitual, looking at 25-life in prison. Case was set for a suppression hearing after we rejected first a 10 year prison offer and then a 2 year prison offer just minutes before the hearing began.
Case Result: Motion to Suppress GRANTED. Client walked out of the jail a free man that day.

State of Texas v. M.P.

Charge: Felon in Possession of a Weapon
County: Galveston
Summary: Client was in a bar at the hotel where he was staying. Client became very intoxicated and had to be carried to his room. On the way to this room the security guard felt the gun in my client's waistband. Once they took him to his room, they shut the room and called police. Police arrived and knocked on the door and saw the gun on the bed. They arrested my client for being a felon in possession of a handgun. Client was a true habitual, meaning he was facing 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
Case Result: Motion to Suppress GRANTED. Client walked out of the jail a free man that afternoon.

State of Texas v. R.N.

Charge: Resisting Arrest
County: Fort Bend
Summary: Client was arrested after the car she was a passenger in was pulled over on traffic. Client was arrested for public intoxication and began to allegedly resist the two officers trying to arrest her. The entire incident was caught on video.
Case Result: Jury was given an instruction from the Judge to find the Defendant NOT GUILTY (Directed Verdict). Client was thereby ACQUITTED by a JURY.

State of Texas v. A.H.

Charge: Felony Evading with a Motor Vehicle

Summary: Client fled on his motorcycle at speeds in excess of 100mph from police until he was caught.
Case Results: Reduced to Class B Misdemeanor and given 6 months Deferred Adjudication.

State of Texas v. B.H.

Charge: Credit Card Abuse - Motion to Adjudicate Guilt

Summary: Client picked up a new prostitution case, in addition to testing positive for cocaine three times while on probation and missed 3 scheduled meetings with her probation officer. DA offered 6 months State Jail.
Case Results: Motion Dismissed.
